    KY Steel is a leading steel manufacturing company in Bangladesh, established in 1989 as part of the KDS Group. It is one of the country’s first world-class galvanized iron sheet producers and currently holds an 18% share of the flat steel market. With annual sales of $180 million and a workforce of approximately 1,323 employees, KY Steel operates from a 280,000 sq. ft. facility with a production capacity of 200,000 metric tons per year.

    Manufacturing Facilities

    KY Steel operates multiple advanced manufacturing units:

    • KYCR Coil Industries Ltd. (Unit-1 & Unit-2): These units produce Cold Rolled (CR) coils and sheets, serving as the foundation for various steel products.

    • NOF Galvanizing Mill: Commissioned in December 2005, this facility produces lead-free galvanized sheets using Non-Oxidized Furnace (NOF) technology, with a capacity of 80,000 metric tons per year.

    • Galvalume Mill: Established in April 2017, this mill produces KYLUME, a corrosion-resistant steel sheet combining aluminum and zinc, with a capacity of 90,000 metric tons per year.

    • Steel Accessories Ltd.: The country’s first and only manufacturer of steel clips and hooks for export-oriented hangers, ensuring high-quality products through state-of-the-art testing equipment.

    Product Portfolio

    KY Steel offers a diverse range of products:

    • KYCR Color Shield: A color-coated steel sheet known for its long life, corrosion resistance, and consistent color and gloss. It comes with a 20-year guarantee.

    • KYLUME: A corrosion-resistant steel sheet combining aluminum and zinc, offering enhanced durability for roofing applications.

    • KY Roof Tile: A roofing solution that combines aesthetic appeal with durability.

    • Steel Accessories: High-quality steel clips and hooks for export-oriented hangers.

    Market Reach

    KY Steel’s products are distributed across all 64 districts of Bangladesh and exported to 22 countries, including Singapore, Thailand, Myanmar, Vietnam, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, the Philippines, India, Indonesia, Dubai, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Peru, Colombia, and several West African nations.
