The Bangladesh Home Economics College was established in 1996 with the aim of expanding girls’ higher education in the current socio-economic context and making them suitable for students in the workplace and in real life. The institution conducts all academic and administrative work in accordance with the approved syllabus and the 1973 Act of Dhaka University under the overall supervision of the Faculty of Biology, Dhaka University. Not only that, there are regular class lectures, examination monitoring, reviews and separate classes for weaker students as well as scholarships for better results in the annual examinations. He has already successfully completed B.Sc. (Honors) and Masters courses from this institute and is working in various institutes with qualifications and reputation. The college offers the following courses on home economics.

B: Note: B.Sc. (Honors) Admission test of the course is conducted through the Home Economics Unit under the supervision of the Faculty of Biology, University of Dhaka. However, B.Sc. (PASS) Course admissions are conducted under the college’s own supervision.
