Bangladesh Steel Re-Rolling Mills Limited (BSRM) is the largest and one of the most established steel manufacturers in Bangladesh. Founded in 1952 in Chattogram, BSRM has played a pivotal role in the country’s infrastructure development, supplying steel for major projects like the Padma Bridge, Rooppur Nuclear Power Plant, Hatirjheel Project, and Shah Amanat Bridge .

• New Plant in Mirsarai: BSRM is set to launch a new $217 million steel plant in Mirsarai, Chattogram, with an annual production capacity of 800,000 tonnes. This facility aims to increase the company’s market share to 34% from the current 23% and is expected to create approximately 1,000 jobs .

• Expansion of Billet Production: The company has invested around BDT 2,100 crore to expand its billet production capacity to 2.4 million tonnes per year, enhancing its ability to meet growing demand .
