U.S. Embassy Dhaka is seeking eligible and qualified applicants for the position of Chief of Mission (CMR) Head Cook.

The Head Cook is responsible for preparing menus and foods complying with all applicable sanitation, health and personal hygiene standards. Prepare food for the family, guests, and special functions, clean the kitchen equipment and cooking pots, prepare a list of items to be purchased from the Commissary, do the shopping, keep an account of local food cash purchases, prepare menus for luncheons, dinners, and receptions, keep the kitchen work areas clean, inform the Contractee and House Manager of any problems regarding the kitchen equipment and appliances and advise the Contractee of needed kitchen supplies.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
- Completion of class eight. (You must attach a copy of yourcertificates along with your application form.)
- At least two years of professional experience of cooking in different styles and cuisines. Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures.
- Language: Ability to speak and understand English and Bangla fluently, and ability to read and write basic English

The incumbent serves as the post’s nurse with responsibilities that include the medical care of Mission employees and eligible family members under MED approved clinical guidelines, as well as maintenance and inventory of all medical equipment and supplies, implementation of a robust vaccination program, administration of group and individual health education programs, and medical emergency contingency planning for the Mission. The incumbent will work in the Medical Unit under the direct supervision of the Regional Medical Officer (RMO) or Medical Provider (MP).
