    Projahnmo Research Foundation (PRF) in association with Johns Hopkins University, USA has a long and illustrious history of conducting research in Bangladesh. PRF’s research has contributed to improvements of health of Bangladeshi citizens and has supported the career development of numerous Bangladeshi public health professionals. Projahnmo Research Foundation is seeking qualified and motivated applicants from Bangladeshi nationals for the below various position. 

    Position : Grant, HR and Logistics Management Officer

    Duty station: Dhaka

    Job Description / Responsibility:

    The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with PRF’s accounting and grant management policies, as well as donors’ requirements. S/he will maintain accurate, complete, and reliable information in all grants/awards and financial systems. S/he will work with study managers/focal persons to identify compliance challenges and escalate issues to leadership when necessary. S/he will work closely with the Project Managers and report to the Finance Manager.

    Grant management (50%)

    • Coordinate the administration of the grant cycle from application to closing, facilitating efforts across teams to ensure that grant requirements are met.
    • Maintain a clear record of all grant activities, including the status of funds, deliverables, and reports.
    • Track budgets and agreements, ensure timely submission of donor reports, forecast expenditure and support project managers.
    • Utilize established processes, templates, and tools to follow internal processes for grants management and sub-award management; and propose and implement the development of new tools and procedures for new sub, as needed.
    • Ensure quality information management related to reporting by overseeing the regular maintenance of grant files, reporting calendars and internal documentation.
    • Track grant spending as well as modifications and budget realignments, monitoring adherence to funder requirements.
    • Inform project managers about timely donor reporting following the sub-agreement.
    • Inform the management to ensure contract extension, modification and No-Cost Extension (NCE) if needed.
    • Prepare budget for grant application
    • Assist with forecasting and long-term planning for organizational growth and sustainability.

    HR Management (30%)

    • Updating and maintaining employee records in systems/databases.
    • Ensure new contracts and contract extensions of staff and consultants working with the finance team and program team.
    • Assist the hiring manager in producing job descriptions and identifying key competencies for each role.
    • Screen CVs with the help of project managers and complete first-stage interviews for professional and support staff as required.
    • Conduct relevant employment checks on all locally hired employees and prepare job offers for successful candidates.
    • Provide training for new employees in organizational policies and procedures.

    Logistics Management (20%)

    • Coordinate supply needs to ensure programs have the necessary goods and services on time. Manage commodity transport and distribution and maintain documentation.
    • Collaborate with procurement committee, vendors, and transport to receive and deliver commodities according to standards.
    • Ensure that the staff receives support for vehicles, air tickets, accommodation, and other logistics.

    Report to Finance Manager

    Supervise: HR Officer, Admin and logistics Assistance

    Educational Requirement:

    • Master’s degree or equivalent degree in accounting/finance/management/ business administration

    Experience

    • At least 5 years of working experience in a similar position in INGO/NGO

    Additional Requirements

    • Demonstrated analytical skills and self-motivation with the ability to set priorities and manage multiple tasks effectively and efficiently.
    • Strong in written and verbal English and Bangla communications
    • A minimum of 5 years of grants management involvement is required, ideally in positions of increasing responsibility and cross-functional exposure.

    Competency Requirement:

    • Computer skills in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint

    Job Nature

    • Fixed term

    Salary and benefits: Competitive

    Benefit: 12% retirement fund contribution by PRF will be given as per organizational policy. Initial appointments will be made for 12 months but may be extended for a further period depending on satisfactory performance and availability of funds.
