    Rangamati Hill District Council Job Circular

    The Ministry of Chittagong Hill Tracts Affairs (MoCHTA) is a dedicated governmental body in Bangladesh, established on 15 July 1998 following the Chittagong Hill Tracts Peace Accord of 1997. Its primary mandate is to oversee the administration, development, and welfare of the Chittagong Hill Tracts (CHT) region, which comprises the districts of Rangamati, Khagrachhari, and Bandarban.​

    • Implementation of the CHT Peace Accord: Facilitating socio-economic development while respecting the social customs, culture, and languages of both tribal and non-tribal communities. ​

    • Coordination of Development Activities: Overseeing and synchronizing development initiatives across various government agencies, NGOs, and international partners.

    • Environmental and Cultural Preservation: Ensuring the protection of the region’s environmental and geological aspects, and promoting eco-friendly tourism.

    • Disaster Management: Conducting relief and rehabilitation efforts during natural calamities. ​

    • Legislative Functions: Enacting laws, rules, and regulations pertinent to the Hill Tracts.
