Position: Assistant Manager/Deputy Manager – Fire & Safety
Job Context:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced professional to join our team as an Assistant Manager/Deputy Manager in our Fire & Safety department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Fire Safety Inspections: Conduct regular fire safety inspections across all facilities, identifying potential hazards and implementing corrective actions to ensure a safe working environment.
- Compliance Management: Ensure all fire safety measures align with local regulations and international standards, including NFPA and BNBC guidelines and JCI compliance.
- Equipment Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance and functionality of all fire safety equipment, such as fire extinguishers, hydrant systems, and alarm systems, ensuring they are in optimal working condition.
- Training & Drills: Develop and conduct fire safety training programs and emergency evacuation drills for employees to enhance preparedness and response capabilities.
- Emergency Response Planning: Establish and manage comprehensive fire safety and emergency response plans, including evacuation procedures and fire alarm systems.
- Incident Investigation: Investigate fire incidents, near misses, and accidents to determine causes and recommend preventive measures with fire panel activities.
Qualifications:
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: At least 5 years of experience in fire safety management, preferably within the [specific industry, e.g., manufacturing, healthcare] sector.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of fire detection, protection, and safety plans. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office Suite, and familiarity with NFPA, BNBC, and other relevant regulations.
- Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities, strong communication and leadership skills, and the ability to work under pressure and with fire & safety certification.
