IUT welcomes applications from qualified candidates for the following positions, on purely contractual basis, for its Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Centre:
- Assistant Professor CSE : Any specialization in CSE/Software Engineering
- Assistant Professor MPE : Mechanical Engineering/Industrial and Production Engineering
- Assistant Professor EEE : Any Specialization in EEE Engineering
- Assistant Professor BTM : HRM/Management/MIS/Marketing
Salary & Allowances:
Assistant Professor : (S-4: US$850-50×25-2,100)
plus housing allowance – 40%, applicable if an accommodation cannot be provided on the campus, transport allowance, spouse allowance, and children allowance per month, cost of living allowance. Education allowance, medical benefits and end-of-service indemnity are available as per the rules. Moreover, successful candidates, if coming from a member state of the OIC other than Bangladesh, will be awarded 15% expatriate allowance as per rule.
Responsibilities:
In addition to conducting regular classroom teaching and research, s/he must responsible for student counselling, syllabus and curriculum development, accreditation and OBE related work and any other relevant academic/administrative works assigned by Head of the Department as well as the university authority.

CSE, MPE and EEE Departments
Assistant Professor
The candidate must possess a First Class B.Sc. (Engg.) Degree or equivalent in the relevant branch of Engineering from a recognized University / Institution plus 4 years of professional experience and at least 1 research paper in a refereed journal.
For CSE Department, the candidate must possess a First Class B.Sc. Degree in CSE (4 years programme) or an equivalent Degree from a recognized University / Institution or First Class M.Sc. Degree in the relevant branch from a recognized University / Institution plus 4 years of professional experience and at least 1 research paper in a refereed journal.
OR
The candidate must possess a First Class B.Sc. (Engg.) Degree or equivalent in the relevant branch of Engineering from a recognized University / Institution plus 3 years of professional experience of which 1-year in active University teaching and at least 1 research paper in a refereed journal.
For CSE Department, the candidate must possess a First Class B.Sc. Degree in CSE (4 years programme) or an equivalent Degree from a recognized University / Institution or First Class M.Sc. Degree in the relevant branch from a recognized University / Institution plus 3 years of professional experience of which 1-year in the active University teaching and at least 1 research paper in a refereed journal.
OR
The candidate must possess a First Class B.Sc. (Engg.) Degree and M.Sc. (Engg.) or equivalent in the relevant branch of Engineering from a recognized University / Institution plus 3 years of professional experience and at least 1 research paper in a refereed journal.
For CSE Department, the candidate must possess a First Class B.Sc. Degree in CSE (4 years programme) and M.Sc. (CSE) or an equivalent Degree from a recognized University / Institution plus 3 years of professional experience and at least 1 research paper in a refereed journal.
OR
The candidate must possess a First Class B.Sc. (Engg.) Degree and M.Sc. (Engg.) or equivalent in the relevant branch of Engineering from a recognized University / Institution plus 2 years of professional experience of which 1 year in active University teaching and at least 1 research paper in a refereed journal.
For CSE Department, the candidate must possess a First Class B.Sc. Degree in CSE (4 years programme) and M.Sc. (CSE) or an equivalent Degree from a recognized University / Institution plus 2 years of professional experience of which 1 year in active University teaching and at least 1 research paper in a refereed journal.
OR
The candidate must possess a First Class B.Sc. (Engg.) Degree and Ph.D. or equivalent in the relevant branch of Engineering from a recognized University / Institution.
For CSE Department, the candidate must possess a First Class B.Sc. Degree in CSE (4 years programme) or an equivalent Degree from a recognized University / Institution and Ph.D. or equivalent in the relevant stream from a recognized University / Institution.
BTM Department
Assistant Professor
The candidate must possess first class or equivalent BBA/B.Sc.Engg. and MBA in the relevant branch from a recognized University / Institution plus 3 years of professional experience and at least 1 research paper in a refereed journal.
No second class in any level of education.
OR
The candidate must possess first class or equivalent BBA/B.Sc.Engg. and MBA in the relevant branch from a recognized University / Institution plus 2 years of professional experience of which 1 year in active University teaching and at least 1 research paper in a refereed journal.
No second class in any level of education.
OR
The candidate must possess first class or equivalent BBA/B.Sc.Engg. and MBA and Ph.D. or equivalent in the relevant branch from a recognized University / Institution.
No second class in any level of education.
