গুড নেইবারস বাংলাদেশ (জিএনবি) একটি আন্তর্জাতিক স্বেচ্ছাসেবী বেসরকারী উন্নয়ন সংস্থা। গুড নেইবারস বাংলাদেশের মিশন হলো শিশু উন্নয়ন, শিক্ষা, কমিউনিটি উন্নয়ন, নারীর ক্ষমতায়ন, স্বাস্থ্যসেবা, যুব উন্নয়ন, গ্রীন গ্রোথ, দুর্যোগ ব্যবস্থাপনা এবং ত্রাণ বিতরণের মাধ্যমে পিছিয়ে পড়া জনগোষ্ঠির বিশেষ করে শিশুদের জীবন যাত্রার মান উন্নয়ন করে আসছে। দুর্দশাগ্রস্থ শিশুদের মনে আশার আলো ছড়াতে শিশুকে কেন্দ্র করে তার পরিবার উন্নয়নে জিএনবি ১৯৯৬ সাল থেকে বাংলাদেশে কাজ করছে। বর্তমানে জিএনবি বাংলাদেশে ১২টি জেলায় ১৬টি কমিউনিটি ডেভেলপমেন্ট প্রজেক্ট ও ৫টি বিশেষ প্রোগ্রাম বিশিষ্ট প্রজেক্ট পরিচালনা করছে।

গুড নেইবারস জাতিসংঘের ইকোসক-এর কনসাল্টেটিভ স্ট্যাটাসযুক্ত (UN ECOSOC) সদস্য এবং সর্বজনীন প্রাথমিক শিক্ষায় বিশেষ অবদানের জন্য ২০০৭ সালে জাতিসংঘ কর্তৃক MDG2 সনদ লাভ করে।

Good Neighbors Bangladesh (GNB) is operating 14 Community Development Projects (CDPs) and 3 Projects with Special Program in 11 districts on child protection, education, health, women empowerment, income-generating activities, emergency response. Winner of MDG 2 award in 2007. Good Neighbors Bangladesh (GNB) intends to recruit suitable personnel for the following position for SAMSUNG Village project funded by SAMSUNG C&T.

Position: Commercial Officer

Job Location: GNB Head Office, Dhaka

Basic Requirement:

Education: M. Com/ MBA (Accounting/Management/Finance). If Individual have Any Extra Professional degree on import and export shall get preference.

Age: Minimum age 30 years and maximum age 40 years (as on 30 November 2020). Age may be relaxed for deserving candidate

Experience: 8 to 10 years or above relevant job experiences (experience with only evidence and relevance will count). Experience may be relaxed for the deserving candidate.

Contract Information:

Consolidated Remuneration: Tk.30,000 – 35,000 (per month)
Contract Period:  2 years (including minimum 6 months in probation period)

Job Assignment in Brief:

• Maintain and lead on effective liaison & communication with Government Affairs & Ministry, Shipping Line, Forwarding Agents and other in relation to import consignment and custom clearance.
• Assist to maintain liaison and communication with NGO Affairs Bureau for project approval and foreign staff work permit and security clearance.
• Reporting and networking buildup as per organization requirements.
• Having sound knowledge in Bank activities, customs rules & regulations related to import/export
• To ensure port and customs operations effectively.
• To ensure all logistics activities related to import & export. (mandatory on Import)
• Checking and controlling of import required documents with the shipper and customs or relevant affairs.
• Should have comparative knowledge on:
  1. All import/export procedure related to Commercial & Non-Profitable Organization (NGO)
  2. Shipping document related to import/export. (Mandatory on Import)
  3. Bond and various license related to this issue
  4. All C&F activities, L/C opening activities, Freight Forward, Transportation etc.
  5. Import & Export govt. act, SRO, HS code and other relevant policy

Capacity Requirement:

• Ability to handle multiple activities at a time.
  • Should have good communication skill specially in English Language
  • Must be good in Internet, MS office package and relevant software
• Should have knowledge of liaison with different stakeholder
• Ability to handle the audit as per standard
