Established in 1969 by Anwara Bahar Chowdhury, the wife of former East Pakistan Health Minister Habibullah Bahar, the college has been a significant contributor to higher education in the region

Campus & Infrastructure

HBUC is situated on over 1 acre (4,000 m²) of land and boasts a modern campus comprising:

• One 12-storey building

• Two 8-storey buildings

• Two 5-storey buildings

• One 2-storey building

The campus also features a large pond, a library with approximately 17,000 books, seminar rooms, a canteen, a playground, and a tennis court
