আবেদন করার প্রক্রিয়াঃ

BWMRI is a newly established research institute. The institute has been established through passing the “BWMRI Bill, 2017” in the National Parliament aiming at increasing production of wheat and maize and conducting related research and training activities in the country. The headquarters of the institute is located at Nashipur, Dinajpur. Director General works as the chief executive of the institute. At present all wheat and maize research activities are being carried out in different regional and sub stations like Debigonj, Thakurgaon, Rajshahi, Jashore, Jamalpur, Joydebpur and Hathazari, etc. from the headquarter.

বাংলাদেশে গম ও ভুট্টার উৎপাদন বাড়ানো ও গবেষণার জন্য ইনস্টিটিউট প্রতিষ্ঠার লক্ষ্যে ১৫ জুন ২০১৭ তারিখে ‘বাংলাদেশ গম ও ভুট্টা গবেষণা ইনস্টিটিউট বিল-২০১৭’ সংসদে উত্থাপন করা হয়। পরে বিলটি পরীক্ষা করে সংসদে প্রতিবেদন দেওয়ার জন্য কৃষি মন্ত্রণালয় সম্পর্কিত সংসদীয় স্থায়ী কমিটিতে পাঠানো হয়। ১৩ নভেম্বর বিলটি কণ্ঠভোটে পাস হয়।
